Necklace Length

To all my jewelry friends…


This is just for having an idea because a necklace’s length will vary according to your neck size and the width and flexability of the necklace.
Collar (12-13 inches)
Collar necklaces encircle the middle of the neck and can be made up of one, two, three or more strands. Collars go best with elegant V-neck, boat neck or off-the-shoulder fashions.
Choker (14-16 inches)
A choker is perhaps the most classic and yet versatile of all the single strand lengths. It lies just above the collarbones and emphasizes the neckline. Chokers are a beautiful choice for many bridal and bridesmaid dresses.
Princess (17-19 inches)
The princess length necklace is the most common necklace length and hangs over the collarbones. It is best suited for crew and high necklines. It also complements low plunging necklines. Pendants, lockets, charms or other embellishments are great ways to add to the allure of a handcrafted…
